Will Laundry Day break world record of biggest cake ever?

,

Dance festival Laundry Day, which takes place on 2 September 2017 in Antwerp, celebrates its 20th birthday this year. Hip hi hurray! Of course, the organization doesn’t want to let this go unnoticed. Therefore everybody’s warmly invited on Wednesday 30 August to have a slice of the (hopefully) biggest birthday cake in the whole wide world!

The people of Laundry Day know very well that a birthday party calls for a finger-licking good birthday pie. So together with the Flemish Bakeries and La Lorraine Bakery Group they’re attempting to break the world record of the biggest cake ever made (and eaten!). The measures of the world-record-attempt-cake will be 17 meters long, 15 meters wide and 60 centimeters high. Quite impressive, don’t you think? If they succeed in making such a huuuuuge cake, Laundry Day will be mentioned in the Guinness Book of World Records. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed!

Everybody’s invited not just to come have a look at this delicious birthday cake, but also to taste it! Because sharing is caring…

Place to be: the Laundry Day festival area on Linkeroever on Wednesday 30 August from 5 pm to 10 pm. Address: Middenvijver, Blancefloerlaan, Linkeroever, Antwerp

If you want ‘the real stuff’, you can off course attend the festival itself on 2 September! Tickets are still available. On the line-up are big names like Bazart, Tout Va Bien, Cookies And Cream, Kölsch, Kapibara, TLP, Lefto, Jebroer, Lil Kleine, Len Faki,Dave Lambert, Peter Luts and many many more… Like every year, there are also lots of new upcoming talents to be discovered. Check it all out on the website of Laundry Day!
