About a year ago we gave an overview of cosy, trendy coffee bars in Antwerp. It’s time to add some to the list because the city has so many great spots! Are you ready to discover some new places for your daily dose of caffeine (or tea)?
Maurice Coffee & Knits
At Maurice Coffee & Knits, former actress and media figure Véronique Leysen shares her knitwear addiction with coffee lovers. She named her coffee bar after her grandpa and strives for the cozy atmosphere and warmth she always experienced at his house. Maurice has its mugs wrapped in a knitted woollen jacket: super cute!
Schoenmarkt 35, 2000 Antwerpen – Second coffee bar: Cogels Osylei 85, 2600 Berchem
Actress Kim Hertogs’ Buchbar is a lovely concept store. It’s filled with Kim’s favorite books and serves coffee roasted by Oris from Normo, another coffee bar in the city. Enjoying a cup of coffee while reading a book in a relaxed and cosy atmosphere: what more can you possibly want?
Scheldestraat 79, 2000 Antwerpen
Located in the middle of the university quarter, Mademoiselle Moustache attracts young, regular coffee drinkers. The bar also serves homemade cakes and fresh soups. In the weekend, bands or singer-songwriters often perform during a Musical Moustache moment.
Paardenmarkt 21, 2000 Antwerpen
Mirlo’s is a place to enjoy the little things in life: good coffee to start the day, a healthy breakfast/brunch/lunch, a refreshing drink. Meet your friends at Mirlo’s and celebrate the moment! You can also shop small interior goodies and gifts, the favorites of barista Merel Boels.
Verbondstraat 1, 2000 Antwerpen
At Tinsel, you really feel at home. Everything is homemade, from coffee and tea to sandwiches, cake and even drinks. We’re a big fan of Tinsel’s cosy, spacious interior and the irresistible tartines… And of course also the coffee!
Vlaamse Kaai 40, 2000 Antwerp
